We are seeking a Senior Universal Banker III to join our team in Millbrae, CA.
This is a "high-touch" role designed for an expert who can seamlessly pivot between serving as a trusted financial advisor for complex consumer/business needs and providing the operational leadership necessary to maintain a top-performing branch. Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Relationship Management:
- Provide expert financial guidance, recommending tailored solutions across checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and lending products.
- Proactively deepen relationships within the Millbrae and Peninsula business community, supporting clients with Treasury Services, Remote Deposit Capture (RDC), and specialized commercial banking needs.
- Serve as a brand ambassador at the Millbrae Chamber of Commerce and other local networking events to drive new business acquisition and community impact.
Operational Excellence & Compliance:
- Act as the subject matter expert on BSA, AML, KYC, and Information Security protocols.
- Monitor and approve large-scale or complex transactions, maintaining rigorous fraud-prevention controls and audit readiness.
- Manage the full lifecycle of complex consumer and business accounts with 100% documentation accuracy.
Leadership & Mentorship:
- Act as a mentor to junior bankers and tellers, fostering a collaborative environment focused on professional growth and service standards.
- Work directly with the Branch Manager to execute sales initiatives and meet regional performance goals.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for complex client inquiries, ensuring a "client-first" resolution every time.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3+ years of retail banking experience is required (must include both teller operations and new account/platform experience).
- Strong background in Business Banking and Treasury products is highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of federal banking regulations and risk mitigation.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Proficient in core banking software and the MS Office Suite.
- Active California Notary Public commission is a major plus (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire).
