This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant. Location:Martin Marietta’s Missouri market is anchored by the Randolph Mine, a major underground limestone operation located in Randolph, Missouri. The facility supplies crushed stone and other aggregate products to contractors, municipalities, and producers across the Kansas City metropolitan area. Strategically positioned with both truck and rail access, the Randolph Mine supports regional infrastructure projects, road construction, and commercial development, making it a cornerstone of Martin Marietta’s Missouri Valley District operations.Essential Functions
Participate in safety programs and training, promoting Martin Marietta’s Guardian Angel culture
Inspect equipment for signs of wear
Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
Work in a team environment
Clean work areas
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Proper wear of personal protective equipment
Notify supervisors of repairs needed
Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements
Assist in plant maintenance and repairs
Perform duties with minimum supervision
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position and will require 40+ hours per week.Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have a valid driver's license
Heavy equipment operations or military experience preferred
1 + years related experience
Valid US driver's license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of MSHA regulations
Effective verbal communication
Knowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenance
Physical Abilities
Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-round
General physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching with hands and arms, and handling materials
