Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented OB Ultrasound Technologist to join our Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) / High-Risk Obstetrics Department. The technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality obstetric ultrasound examinations across all trimesters while working closely with MFM physicians to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
The ideal candidate has strong OB scanning experience, excellent patient interaction skills, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform obstetric ultrasound examinations for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester pregnancies
Conduct detailed fetal anatomical surveys and growth scans in a high-risk OB/MFM setting
Accurately capture and document ultrasound images and measurements per protocol
Recognize and document normal and abnormal findings for physician review
Collaborate directly with MFM physicians during and after scans
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining exams and ensuring comfort and safety
Maintain adherence to ultrasound safety standards, patient confidentiality, and infection control guidelines
Ensure proper operation, care, and maintenance of ultrasound equipment
Maintain accurate patient records and exam documentation
Participate in hands-on scanning evaluations as part of the interview and onboarding process
Required Qualifications
Prior hands-on experience scanning OB ultrasounds, including:
First trimester
Second trimester
Third trimester
Certificate or Diploma from an accredited General Ultrasound Program
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Experience working in an MFM or High-Risk OB ultrasound setting
ARDMS certification in OB/GYN (preferred but not required)
Strong attention to detail and image quality
Professional, compassionate bedside manner
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative clinical environment
Certification Requirements
Certificate/Diploma from a General Ultrasound Program
ARDMS (OB/GYN) preferred
Work Environment
Clinical outpatient setting
No travel during shifts
No patient home visits required
