Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.
Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
- Job Specific Functions
- Transfers and properly positions patient, for examinations, in order to obtain desired radiographic results according to
- physician specifications and established protocols. Provides immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
- Selects and operates equipment, selecting proper technical factors on an individual patient basis. Selects and loads proper film cassettes, using film markers correctly and consistently.
- Rotates within the department or other departments and shifts as required. Supports in other areas when not busy in own area.
- Assists physicians in performance of examinations by mixing and pouring contrast media, administering opaque media, holding and turning patients, assisting in sterile procedures, and other related duties as required.

- Successful completion of a fullyaccredited training program (fullaccreditation means the training programis accredited through the Commission onAccreditation of Allied Health EducationPrograms (CAAHEP) or a similar,nationally recognized, accrediting agency),in the pertinent modality for which theemployee is being hired. 2. Successfuland valid registration/certification by anationally recognized accrediting agency;in the specific modality for which theemployee was hired or registry eligibleand valid registration/certification must beobtained within four (4) months of hiredate. 3. After one year of satisfactoryperformance as a validlyregistered/certified technologist, in thespecific modality for which the employeewas hired, the employee will be re-classified to the Imaging Technologistclassification. 4. Modality specific advancelevel registry must be obtained withintwelve months of hire date. 5. Should anyof the above requirements (completion ofthe program or achievingregistration/certification) not be obtained inthe specified timeframe, a single three (3)month extension may be considered andgranted at the discretion of themanagement.
