Job description

The Unified Communications Specialist will configure, implement, and maintain the firm's UC infrastructure — including Microsoft Teams, Zoom One (Zoom Phone, Meetings, and Rooms), Cisco Webex, and supporting AV hardware — to ensure seamless collaboration for staff and clients.

This role serves as the primary point of contact with UC service providers, troubleshoots complex software and hardware issues, and integrates platforms with existing IT infrastructure and third-party applications. The specialist will also develop documentation and provide training to end-users and IT staff.

Travel is estimated at up to 40% for project implementations, system upgrades, and troubleshooting, including occasional weekend travel.

What you'll be responsible for

• Maintain and administer Zoom Rooms, Zoom Phone, and Zoom Meetings through the Admin Console
• Manage Cisco video conferencing equipment via Webex Control Hub
• Investigate and analyze call logs from Zoom Phone, Zoom Meetings, and Webex Meetings
• Work closely with UC providers to troubleshoot software and hardware, including conference room systems
• Configure and optimize network elements for optimal UC performance
• Monitor system health and proactively address issues to minimize downtime
• Provide technical support and resolve complex issues related to Zoom and Cisco Webex Rooms
• Create and maintain documentation for UC configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
• Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patch management across all UC systems
• Ensure UC technologies comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and security best practices

Required experience & skills

• Proven experience designing, deploying, and maintaining Zoom Meetings, Zoom Phone, and Cisco Unified Communications
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, VoIP, and video conferencing technologies
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
• Strong project management skills
• Availability for up to 40% travel, including occasional weekends

Nice-to-haves

• Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA)
• CompTIA Network+ certification
• Experience with cloud-based unified communications solutions
• Experience configuring and supporting AV room integrations using Logitech, Shure, and QSYS technologies

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience and relevant certifications will be considered.

Pay & benefits summary

Annual salary:$75,000 – $80,000
