You will work with first-time builds and prototypes, help ramp up test case and procedure development based on defined system requirements, and use Time-Sensitive Networking technologies and Python-based automation to ensure robust, reliable system performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support hardware and software integration activities for aerospace networking systems in a lab environment.
  • Perform verification and validation activities, including execution of existing models, test cases, and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot system, hardware, and equipment-level issues during prototype and first-time builds.
  • Develop, refine, and execute integration procedures based on system requirements.
  • Work at the black-box hardware and system integration level to validate behavior and identify defects.
  • Assist with ramp-up of test case development as new hardware is received and integrated into the program environment.
  • Use Python to automate test, integration, and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Interface with relevant APIs to support automation, test execution, and tool integration.
  • Work with traffic generation and lab test equipment, including tools such as Keysight Ixia.
  • Use internal and external simulation tools to emulate customer traffic and avionics protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with networking and integration teams to support end-of-design and early integration program milestones.
  • Document test results, issues, troubleshooting findings, and updates to procedures in a clear and organized manner.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in systems engineering within an embedded, aerospace, avionics, or networking environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) technologies.
  • Experience with IEEE 802.1AS and IEEE 802.3 protocols.
  • Experience in system integration, particularly hardware-software integration at the subsystem or black-box level.
