Trusts & Estates Associate

A well-established law firm’s Trusts & Estates Group is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney to join its robust and growing practice. This role offers the opportunity to work with a sophisticated client base and collaborate closely with experienced attorneys and professional advisors.

Responsibilities

• Draft and implement complex estate planning strategies, including:
• Estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax planning
• Review and preparation of related tax returns
• Manage estate and trust administration matters from inception through completion
• Handle routine probate administrations independently
• Advise clients and coordinate with accountants, financial advisors, and other professionals
• Maintain direct client contact and provide thoughtful, practical guidance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience practicing trusts and estates law
• Strong background in sophisticated estate planning and tax-driven strategies
• Demonstrated knowledge of Massachusetts probate and trust law
• Ability to manage probate and trust administrations start-to-finish
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Client-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships

Preferred (Not Required)

• LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning
