JOB OVERVIEW

The Trust Operations Manager will lead the daily operational activities of the Company’s Operations Center (i.e., the Las Vegas office), overseeing the team responsible for distributions, reconciliations, account management, and digital asset custody services. This role combines tactical execution with strong management responsibilities, ensuring operational excellence in both fiat and cryptocurrency processes. The Manager will act as the primary point of accountability for the office, balancing hands-on operational work with people leadership, and will partner closely with senior management to deliver on the Company’s mission of providing institutional-grade custody and operational support.



RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Team Leadership and Oversight
  • Manage and mentor a team of operations analysts, ensuring high performance, accountability, and professional development.
  • Allocate daily tasks, set priorities, and monitor workload distribution across the Las Vegas office.
  • Foster a culture of precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Operational Execution
  • Oversee and support funds movement, including domestic and international wire transfers, ACH, and fiat/crypto settlements.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in daily reconciliations of fiat and cryptocurrency accounts across internal ledgers and external due-to and due-from strategic partners.
  • Oversee posting and validation of entries to the Company’s core platform and custody systems.
  • Supervise crypto custody processes, wallet transfers, and blockchain transaction monitoring.
  • Process and Risk Management
  • Implement and enhance operational controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard client assets.
  • Collaborate with the Risk and Compliance Teams on AML/KYC checks, transaction monitoring, and suspicious activity escalation.
  • Ensure adherence to all internal policies, external regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Proactively identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Strategic and Tactical Management
  • Assist in the buildout and modification of the Las Vegas office.
  • Serve as the day-to-day operational lead in Las Vegas, resolving escalations and ensuring seamless execution of client transactions.
  • Provide input into operational strategy, technology enhancements, and process automation initiatives.
  • Prepare operational reports, dashboards, and updates for the Head of Operations and senior leadership.
  • Act as the liaison between the Las Vegas office and other operational hubs, ensuring consistency in service delivery.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

  • Prior experience managing operations in a regulated trust company, bank, or digital asset custody provider.
  • Familiarity with our core trust systems, SS&C Black Diamond Wealth Trust (formerly known as InnoTrust), and our custody platform, Ledger Enterprise.



QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred but not required.
  • 7–12 years of experience in financial services operations, treasury, or custody; at least 3 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
  • An understanding of cryptocurrency custody, blockchain fundamentals, and/or trading settlement mechanics.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and improving operational workflows in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong knowledge of payment networks (SWIFT, Fedwire, ACH) and crypto asset transfers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with compliance, risk, technology, and client service teams.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to balance tactical execution and strategic thinking.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and a strong sense of accountability.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with and an understanding of the following:

  • Demonstrated strong general technical competence.
  • Ability to synthesize multiple sources of input (data, stakeholders, client research, design) and arrive at high quality decisions.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products.

Location

This position requires being present at the physical office during business hours on the days the Company is open for business.

The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
