We are seeking an experienced Trust & Estates Legal Secretary to support an estate planning and probate practice. This is a full-time opportunity offering strong attorney interaction, a collaborative environment, and meaningful client support work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct administrative and legal support to Trusts & Estates attorneys
• Prepare, and format estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, directives, etc.)
• Assist with probate filings, court submissions, and correspondence
• Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and client communication
• Handle billing: pre-bills, edits, time entry follow-up, and invoicing
• Organize and maintain physical and electronic files
• Coordinate meetings, scheduling, travel, and general administrative support
• Maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive client information
• Ensure accuracy through strong proofreading and document review skills
Qualifications:
• Recent Trusts & Estates legal secretary experience required
• Strong understanding of estate planning documents
• 5+ years of legal administrative experience (preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Experience with legal billing systems
• Strong proofreading and document formatting skills
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and client service
• Ability to manage multiple attorneys and competing priorities
