Position DescriptionThis is professional and highly responsible work conducting legal research, providing oral and written legal advice, and drafting orders for the assigned circuit judges. The work involves considerable interpretation and judgment in the analysis of legal issues, primarily on criminal postconviction matters. The Staff Attorney may also work on criminal trial and pretrial matters and may also assist with legal issues from other divisions and the Court Counsel. Contacts are primarily with judges, judicial assistants, and other court personnel. All work is performed under the supervision of a Senior Staff Attorney. Up to two days of telework per week may be authorized.
