The Houston office of a national defense firm is looking to add a Civil Litigation Attorney to a team built around trial work.
The firm handles a broad and interesting docket, including construction and transportation litigation, professional liability defense, employment defense, and general liability matters including commercial litigation.
You won’t be stuck behind the scenes. This is a group of true trial attorneys, and associates are expected to be in the action.
That means arguing motions in court, taking and defending depositions, handling hearings, and gaining real trial experience. If you’ve been developing your oral advocacy skills but haven’t had enough opportunities to use them, you’ll have the chance to put them to work here.
The firm combines high-quality litigation with realistic expectations. Billable hours are set at 1,900, and attorneys are trusted to manage their workload without unnecessary face time. Flexible working is genuinely supported, with hybrid and remote options available depending on experience and practice needs.
Base salary is in the region of $140k–$170k depending on experience, with additional bonuses tied to billable hours. alongside the stability and support of a well-established national firm.

Experience required:
