Seeking students and adults with sports knowledge! The City of Onalaska is seeking to hire an Instructor and Traveling Coach. Under the supervision of the Recreation Manager/Coordinator, the employee in this position is responsible for the overall direction and oversight of any portion associated with a recreation program. Independently provides direction to staff, coaches, volunteers, umpire/referees and spectators on issues relating to a program plan and program structure, team selection, rule interpretation, schedules, equipment needs and use, safety of participants, umpires/referees, staff and spectators.

Compensation:Wage range for these seasonal, limited-term positions is $12.00 to $16.00 per hour depending on qualifications, budget and/or position. There are no benefits associated with limited-term positions.

Job Requirements:High School or college level experience required. Student or adult with sports knowledge. Supervision and leadership techniques/skills desired. Experience playing, coaching or being part of a sport or program of similar nature. Work with minimum supervision. Valid driver’s license required with good driving record.
