📋 Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced, highly autonomous Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide critical 13-week leave-of-absence coverage at our facility in Manchester, KY. As the sole tech on-site, you will manage a low-volume workload consisting of approximately 50 to 60 studies per month (~12 to 13 per week).
The patient mix is roughly 75% scheduled outpatients and 25% hospital inpatients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality nuclear medicine imaging, primarily focused on cardiac/heart scans (~50 per month).
- Perform occasional general scans including HIDA, bone, MUGA, lung scans, and I-131 therapies.
- Manage extensive, meticulous nuclear medicine documentation and record-keeping to ensure continuous readiness for Joint Commission inspections.
- Provide compassionate, top-tier care to patients while collaborating seamlessly with physicians and surrounding hospital units.
🛠️ Requirements & Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Licensure: Must hold an active, valid Kentucky State Certification/License (due to strict state regulations, out-of-state licenses without KY reciprocity cannot be considered).
- Certification: ARRT(N) and/or CNMT registered.
- Experience: Proven track record of working independently in a nuclear medicine department with strong documentation and compliance habits.
- Compliance: Ability to successfully pass standard hospital background checks, drug screenings, and health/immunization vetting.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Hands-on experience with the GE 830 scanner.
- Proficiency with MIM software.
- Experience navigating Epic EMR for charting and scheduling.
