Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain 5-Axis CNC machines, specifically vertical milling machines.
• Perform complex blueprint interpretations to ensure precise machining of components.
• Utilize machine controls such as Fanuc or Heidenhain for efficient operation.
• Program or edit G-Code to achieve desired machining outcomes.
• Work with various materials including alloys, stainless steel, titanium, and plastics.

Essential Skills

• 3-4 years of experience performing setups/operation on 3-4 axis CNC machinery (Either Vertical Milling and/or Horizontal Milling).
• Ability to utilize Fanuc controls to perform setups and make edits to G and M code.
• Understanding of GD&T (Geometric dimension & tolerance).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 4 years experience performing setups and/or operating 5 axis CNC milling machines.
• Ability to machine titanium.
• Experience with machining for Aerospace, Military, and Defense industries or related industries.

Work Environment

Our facility features a clean and climate-controlled environment with around 100 CNC machines across three facilities on our campus. We maintain ITAR compliance and have an open-door policy, encouraging employees to work collaboratively and seek guidance within each department. The work schedule is 5 10-hour shifts on the second shift from 4:30 pm to 2:30 am.

This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Virginia Beach,VA.
