Pay range: The full pay range for this role is $17.93 to $29.90 per hour. The target pay for this position is $22.00 to $25.00 per hour. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location.

Summary:

This internship positionwill support the Transmission & Interconnection team in documenting interconnection processes related totheinterconnection of renewable energy projects across keyjurisdictions. Theinternwill work closely with the interconnection team members to capture, organize, and update critical informationregardinginterconnection procedures, requirements,exposureand workflows. This role involves gathering data from various stakeholders, creating clear and concise process documentation, and helping to develop standardized templates and guidelines. Thisinternshipwill offer valuable exposure to the technical and procedural aspects of interconnection management and process improvement.

This is a 12- week remote internship, Hybrid in San Diego, CA (Rancho Bernardo).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis of key interconnection related materials, including tariffs, TO/RTOs presentations, study reports and business manuals.
  • Synthetize critical information in clear and concise documentation.
  • Manage the Interconnection Documentation system where all documentation will be located and organized by Development region.
  • Reasonablycomprehendand developproficiencyinbasicdetails ofinterconnection processesacross key regions.
  • Assessvariationsin processes andrelativeto FERC order 2023.
  • Developproficiencyinunderstanding ofutility and RTO tariffs/OATT.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in agraduate or undergraduate program.
  • Prior experience in renewable energy, investment banking, or management consulting a plus.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship (F-1 Visa, OPT, CPT, etc.) isnot and will not be available for this position.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Ability to learn quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint,Wordand comfort using web-based industry intelligence solutions.
  • Ability tomaintainconfidentiality and work with minimum supervision.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit or stand at computer for a reasonable length of time typing and reading. Regularly required to walk or stand.

Working Conditions:

  • 90% of the time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), with the remaining 10% of the time spent travelling to visit the San Diego office.
