As a Transactions Specialist II in Lockbox Operations (Review & Repair), you’ll investigate validation failures, verify documents, and fix transaction issues—choosing the right outcome (process, reprocess, or return) to ensure accurate, on-time completion.
As a Transactions Specialist II supporting the Review & Repair function in Lockbox Operations, you will research exceptions, verify documents, correct transaction issues, and determine the appropriate outcome (process, reprocess, or return) to keep work moving accurately and on time
Job responsibilities
- Review transactions routed to Review & Repair due to exceptions, validation failures, or items that could not be completed in standard processing
- Retrieve required physical documents before beginning work and update transaction status appropriately
- Prioritize work using defined rules (oldest to newest, with specific item types prioritized to support timeliness)
- Research issues using system details, images, and physical documents, then take the correct action based on the Review & Repair reason
- Complete outcomes by either:
- Processing items that can be corrected
- Routing items for reprocessing when an imaging/scanning issue exists
- Routing items for return when they cannot be processed
- Perform required reconciliation steps for items that were reprocessed (e.g., updating ticket/header information as required)
- Escalate system or processing issues to the appropriate support team when needed
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working in a queue-based, exception-driven environment
- Ability to research and resolve issues using both electronic and physical documentation
- Ability to follow procedures, make consistent decisions, and escalate appropriately
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet timeliness expectations
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Lockbox/remittance operations experience, especially exception handling and rework
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
Additional hours and/or mandatory overtime may be required during peak volume periods and based on other business needs.
