We are seeking a versatile attorney with proven transactional experience and a strong background in real estate, construction, and business law. The successful candidate will take lead on transactional matters based on workflows, while providing comprehensive legal support, opinions, and consultation to clients within the subject practice areas. The attorney in this position will also provide substantive law support to litigators managing litigation matters and advise clients on transaction disputes in pre-litigation. The matters originate from a blend of corporate and business clients, as well as consumers (usually referred from corporate clients).
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (including construction contracts), conveyance documents, leases, purchase (real estate and commercial) agreements, marketing service agreements, and development documents.
Perform legal due diligence for real estate acquisitions and development projects.
Advise clients on regulatory compliance, legal disputes, and risk mitigation.
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
Active member of the State Bar of Texas in good standing.
5+ years of transactional experience in real estate, construction, and/or business law. 10 years, preferred.
Strong legal research, writing, and critical thinking skills.
Strong communication and complex transaction drafting skills.

Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary of $175,000 - $250,000 (depending on experience and credentials).
Origination bonus of 20% of collected attorney fees (there is not an origination expectation).
Downtown garage parking paid by firm.
401(k) offered.
