As a Transaction Manager in the Agency & Institutional Capital (AIC) Lending Group, you will play a critical role in the execution of multifamily loan transactions, partnering closely with Production, Credit, and Closing teams to deliver a seamless, best-in-class client experience.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead coordination efforts across internal deal team members and external stakeholders to collect, track, and manage all due diligence required for multifamily loan transactions
  • Support the transition of transactions from initial screening through underwriting, including assembling complete loan packages, facilitating internal approvals, and assisting with delivery to closing.
  • Maintain accurate and complete loan files, applicable checklists, and required documentation throughout the lifecycle of each transaction. Complete Agency-specific forms for submission and support Credit Officers with data entry and quality control.
  • Review and analyze third-party reports and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal and Agency requirements.
  • Conduct market, property, and loan-level research to support underwriting and credit decisioning
  • Order, track, and critically review third-party reports, including appraisals, Property Condition Assessments (PCA), Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), zoning reports, and other required materials.
  • Partner closely with Insurance, Legal, Compliance, and Know Your Customer (KYC) teams to ensure all regulatory, Firm, and Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) requirements are met, including applicable credit checks.
  • Assist Credit Officers with property inspections and prepare detailed inspection summaries and reports.
  • Participate in additional projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing to process improvements and broader team objectives.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Understanding of multifamily property fundamentals and agency lending / underwriting concepts
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
  • High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn multifamily underwriting systems and tools used by Government Sponsored Enterprises
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • At least 1 year of experience in commercial real estate, multifamily housing, or a related field
