Overview

We are partnering with one of the largest and fastest-growing asset-backed lenders in the Mid-Atlantic region to hire a Transaction Coordinator to support their high-volume real estate lending platform.


This role sits at the center of the loan lifecycle—working closely with loan officers, underwriting, legal, and borrowers to ensure transactions move efficiently from application through closing.

Position Summary

The Transaction Coordinator will manage and track loan files throughout the origination and closing process, ensuring all required documentation is complete, accurate, and delivered on time.


You will play a critical role in keeping deals moving, coordinating with internal teams and third parties, and ensuring a seamless borrower experience.


Key Responsibilities

Transaction Management

  • Coordinate and manage loan files from initial application through closing
  • Track all deal milestones and proactively follow up to ensure timely execution
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan records in internal systems

Documentation & File Management

  • Collect, review, and organize all required loan documentation
  • (e.g., applications, financials, entity docs, title/insurance, closing packages)
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of files prior to underwriting and closing
  • Work with legal and closing teams to finalize loan documentation

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as the primary point of contact between:
  • Loan Officers
  • Underwriting
  • Legal / closing teams
  • Borrowers
  • Third-party vendors (title, insurance, etc.)
  • Facilitate communication to resolve issues and remove bottlenecks

Closing & Funding Support

  • Assist in preparing closing packages and coordinating closing logistics
  • Confirm all conditions precedent to funding are satisfied
  • Support funding process and ensure timely disbursement

Process & Operations

  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and lending guidelines
  • Support high transaction volume with strong attention to detail


Qualifications

Required

  • 2–5+ years of experience in:
  • Real estate lending
  • mortgage operations
  • transaction coordination
  • or similar role in a lending or title environment
  • Strong understanding of the loan lifecycle
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills (internal + client-facing)

Preferred

  • Experience with:
  • Asset-backed or hard money lending
  • Commercial real estate transactions
  • Title, escrow, or closing coordination
  • Familiarity with loan origination systems (LOS) or CRM platforms
