  • What to Expect: Orients new CYP professionals to the child and youth system and provides basic information that can be applied in all program settings. Ensures implementation and execution of the Marine Corps standardized curriculum within the Child Development Program (CDP). Provides support for CYP professionals in preparing for inspections and accreditation. Supervises employees to include assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, completing performance reviews and signing timecards, training employees, keeping abreast of and actively supporting the principles of the EEO program, and prevention of sexual harassment. Must be alert to alcohol and substance abuse and take appropriate action. May assume the responsibilities of the CYP Director and perform duties and requirements of the position. Operate independently with minimum supervision toward overall objectives of the programs. Coordinates with CYP Directors to establish training plans and a schedule for professional training. Perform other duties assigned.
