Performs tests on equipment needed for annual inspections of seven hundred-plus traffic signals. Assists technicians with all installations, repairs, or replacements of communication equipment used for D3 Signals. Assists Signal Programmer with setup, changes, and troubleshooting of signal cabinets and controllers for D3 Signals and contractor burn in requirements. Performs 24/7 on call rotation, night and emergency work on weekends and holidays. Responds to complaints and concerns during normal business hours. Performs other related duties as assigned.
A high school diploma and one (1) year of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence. A valid motor vehicle operator ’s license is required. Requires attainment of a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six (6) months of placement in the position.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 lbs. or more. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Must be able to hear, see, speak, have depth perception and have color vision. On-call rotation and emergency duties as necessary. Responds to signal-related issues during and after inclement weather.
