Responsibilities

The Human Resources/Total Rewards Intern will support both the HR and the TR departments in day-to-day operations while gaining valuable hands-on experience across multiple HR/TR functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with all leave of absence processes including managing the HR inbox requests, leave approval processes, vendor management and time sheet management.
  • Help maintain employee files and ensure proper documentation and compliance; this includes helping to transition employee files from different repositories to the appropriate location in the new filing structure.
  • Assist with benefits administration tasks as needed.
  • Participate in HR policy research and development.
  • Help prepare and distribute internal communications related to HR initiatives.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR/TR department.
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned.
  • Learn and support Workday actions at an entry level process.
  • Assist in retrieving data from Qlick and actioning PowerPoint and reporting in support of the business.

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
  • Strong interest in human resources management
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Reliable and professional work ethic

Preferred

  • Previous coursework in HR, employment law, or organizational development
  • Prior office or administrative experience
  • Familiarity with HRIS software
  • Knowledge of basic employment laws and regulations
