Summary

The Tooling Manager will oversee all activities related to the injection molding process, ensuring that ancillary equipment is operating at maximum efficiency to achieve high-quality products.

Key Activities

• Lead the design, development, and procurement of tools, molds, jigs, fixtures, and dies.
• Manage tooling lifecycle, including maintenance, repair, and replacement planning.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve tooling performance.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for tooling.
• Monitor tooling costs, budgets, and vendor performance.
• Ensure tooling meets product specifications and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot tooling-related issues and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
• Maintain tooling documentation, drawings, and records.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in automotive, packaging, plastics, or heavy manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of CNC machining and tooling materials.
• Vendor management and cost optimisation experience.

Educations & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–10+ years of experience in tooling, manufacturing, or engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of tool design, injection molding, stamping, or machining processes.
