The Behavior Specialist supports site supervisors and instructors with student behavior analysis and ongoing monitoring of students who require support plans to sustain positive participation of these students in the program. The primary responsibility of the Behavior Specialist is to assist their Site Coordinator and site staff in assisting with day-to-day behavior issues with students enrolled in the after-school program. They work collaboratively with the site academic program supervisor (APS) and site supervisor in the development and implementation of individualized behavior support plans, as well as aid in the development of flexible schedules for students that need it.
They work closely with the program staff to help train and assist in the development and implantation of individualized behavior support plans for students that need them. They will assist the Buena Park Titans After School Program and ensure that a high-quality after school program for children is consistently delivered to our students between TK-5th grade.
Must be available to work five (5) days a week -Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 1:30PM-6:00PM; Thursday from 12:00PM-5:45PM

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods while supervising students and conducting classroom visits. The role involves frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching to engage with students and support activities. Candidates must be able to lift, carry, and move materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. Strong visual and auditory abilities are essential for observing and responding to student behavior, ensuring a safe and productive environment. The position may involve working in both indoor and outdoor environments, including during varying weather conditions.
