TIG Welder Paying up to $24/hr!

Job Description

This role focuses on precision TIG welding of stainless steel components, primarily in the 18-gauge to 14-gauge range, to produce high-quality carts, racks, and trays for commercial use. You will work from blueprints, use a thumb switch TIG setup with a silicon bronze filler rod, and perform fabrication tasks in an industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel materials ranging from 18-gauge to 14-gauge with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Use a thumb switch TIG welding setup rather than a foot pedal to complete all welds.
  • Apply silicon bronze filler rod correctly and consistently to meet quality and strength requirements.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand dimensions, tolerances, and weld specifications for each project.
  • Fabricate carts, racks, trays, and related stainless steel products according to design and quality standards.
  • Use hand tools and fabrication equipment safely to prepare, fit, and finish parts before and after welding.
  • Inspect welds visually and dimensionally to ensure they meet internal standards and customer requirements.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment while working in an industrial environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production and safe operations.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and adapt to changing priorities.

Essential Skills

  • 2–3 years of experience performing TIG welding on stainless steel.
  • Proven ability to weld using a thumb switch rather than a pedal.
  • Hands-on experience welding 18-gauge to 14-gauge stainless steel materials.
  • Proficiency using silicon bronze filler rod in TIG welding applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Solid understanding of TIG welding techniques, weld quality, and joint preparation.
  • Experience with basic fabrication processes related to carts, racks, and trays.
  • Skilled in using hand tools safely and effectively in a fabrication setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in an industrial manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing clean, precise welds.
  • Reliability in attendance and punctuality for assigned shifts.

Why Work Here?

You will join a production-focused environment where your TIG welding skills directly contribute to visible, high-usage products. The role offers stable, full-time hours on defined shifts and the opportunity to refine your craft on stainless steel fabrication work. You will work alongside experienced welders and fabricators in a setting that values consistent quality, safe work practices, and reliable teamwork.

Work Environment

This position is based in an industrial, non-climate-controlled facility where temperatures can become hot, especially during warmer months and near production equipment. You will work around fabrication machinery, welding equipment, and hand tools throughout your shift. Multiple openings are available across two shifts: a first shift from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and a second shift from approximately 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., which may occasionally run from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. You will wear appropriate personal protective equipment and attire suitable for welding and industrial work.
