Job Title: Territory Sales Manager – Architectural Division

Location: San Antonio/Austin Market

Pay Rate: $110,000 – $125,000 Base Salary + Quarterly Bonus + Car Allowance


Overview


The company is a 20+ year old designer and manufacturer of high-end architectural acoustic solutions and performance materials. The firm is experiencing exciting and scalable growth, leading this shift from a 3rd party sales structure to developing a full-cycle, in-house, dedicated sales force.


This opportunity is built for a polished, entrepreneurial sales professional from the A&D industry who thrives in front of clients and knows how to influence specifications from concept to completion.


This is a field-first position ≈80% client-facing.


What You’ll Do


  • Build and deepen your existing relationships with architects, interior designers, workplace strategists, and facility planners to drive product specifications
  • Engage contractors and installers to uncover and convert project opportunities
  • Generate pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and industry engagement
  • Deliver compelling presentations, lunch-and-learns, and product demos to design professionals
  • Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to identify and secure opportunities
  • Develop tailored solutions aligned with design intent and acoustic performance needs
  • Manage CRM activity, tracking pipeline, specifications, and market intelligence
  • Provide monthly territory insights, performance updates, and strategic recommendations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, and operations teams
  • Maintain urgency and responsiveness across multiple active projects


Compensation & Perks


  • Base Salary: $110K–$125K
  • Quarterly Bonus: Performance-based on sales metrics ($24k/yr minimum)
  • Car Allowance: $500/month

Requirements


  • 2+ years of experience in architectural or construction-related sales (design-driven or custom products preferred)
  • Proven success in A&D specification sales environments
  • Strong understanding of the architectural and construction process
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
  • Demonstrated success in lead generation, relationship management, and closing business
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to engage design professionals
  • Experience developing project proposals and specifications
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and pipeline management
  • Strong organizational, project management, and territory planning skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a dynamic, field-based role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must own a vehicle and be comfortable with frequent regional travel


Preferred Qualifications


  • Background or degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, or Business
  • Experience with custom architectural or acoustic products
  • Existing relationships within the San Antonio/Austin A&D community

  • This is not a remote role; consistent in-person client engagement is required
  • Candidates must be based in or near the New York Metro area
