Our challenge

We are seeking a highly experienced Teradata Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of data solutions on modern Teradata platforms. The ideal candidate will possess extensive solution design ownership, hands-on scripting expertise, and a strong understanding of Teradata Vantage or other modern data platform offerings. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to architect scalable, high-performance data solutions aligned with business needs.


Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX is $110k - $120k/year & benefits (see below)..


The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead the end-to-end solution design for enterprise data projects using Teradata platforms.
  • Develop, optimize, and automate data transformation and management processes using Python scripting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture strategies and ensure best practices.
  • Provide expert guidance on Teradata Vantage and other modern platform features.
  • Lead the implementation of high-performance data solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Document solution architecture, design standards, and best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and features in Teradata and related technologies.


Requirements:

  • Architect-level experience with documented solution design ownership in large-scale data environments.
  • Proven hands-on experience in Python scripting for automation, data transformation, and orchestration.
  • Strong experience with Teradata Vantage or similar modern data platforms.
  • Teradata certification (preferably) to validate expertise.
  • In-depth knowledge of database architecture, SQL optimization, and data modeling.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead architectural discussions.
  • Experience with QueryGrid, NOS, and ClearScape Analytics (added advantage).
  • Prior experience with cloud integrations and hybrid data environments.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices in data engineering.
