Temporary Shelter Manager

Our client, a dedicated organization committed to providing essential support and shelter, is seeking a Temporary Shelter Manager to join their team. As a Shelter Manager, you will be part of the shelter operations team supporting individuals in need. The ideal candidate will demonstrate compassion, organizational skills, and resilience, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Temporary Shelter Manager

Location: MORGANTON, NC

Pay Range: $15 per hour

Shift: Monday-Thursday 12pm-6pm, Friday 12pm-8pm

What's the Job?

• Maintain the shelter facility through cleaning, room inspections, and reporting repair needs
• Provide support, information, peer counseling, and referrals to clients
• Manage casework including client intake, assessment, database management, and tracking progress
• Be on-call for shelter shifts as needed to ensure continuous support
• Assist clients by driving the van and perform general office support as required

What's Needed?

• Experience in shelter work, client advocacy, or related fields
• High school diploma required; higher education preferred
• Completion of at least 20 hours of training on domestic and sexual violence advocacy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
