Hey there, green thumbs and outdoor enthusiasts! Lincoln Parks and Recreation is on the hunt for some go-getters to join our team of TemporaryParks Laborers. Picture this: you, surrounded by the beauty of Holmes Lake and Pioneers Park making the great outdoors even greater.
These positions are vital for keeping Lincoln's 168 parks, 185.9 miles of trails, public gardens, community forest, and conservation areas thriving.
What You'll Be Doing
Compensation and Pay:$15.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Pay is issued by direct deposit only. Candidates must have a valid bank account registered in their name in order to receive wages. *This is an unclassified (temporary) position and not eligible for benefits.
Schedule:40 hours per week, generally Monday-Friday but may include rotating weekends, evenings, holidays, or special events.
Minimum QualificationsApplicants must be at least 16 years of age, be physically able to perform manual labor, safely lift 50 pounds without assistance, and safely perform repetitive physical tasks.

The Parks and Recreation department is FUNdamental to Lincoln.
Our team manages 168 parks, 185.9 miles of trails, 97 playgrounds, over 83,000 street trees, nine public pools, six recreation centers, five golf (and disc golf) courses, five dog runs, a nature center, and beautiful public gardens. Our programs include recreation summer day camps, before and after school programs, clubs and classes for individuals with special needs, adult and youth team sports, nature-based classes and events, swimming lessons, wellness and fitness classes for all ages, and a variety of free events and classes for all ages.
