Role Description The Temporary Labor Staffing Recruiter is a full-time, on-site role based in Crest Hill, IL. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates for light industrial and light clerical temporary positions to meet client staffing needs. Daily activities include posting job ads, reviewing applications, conducting phone and in-person interviews, and coordinating pre-employment screenings in line with Barton Staffing’s verification processes. The recruiter will match candidates to open orders, manage onboarding paperwork, maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system, and communicate regularly with clients regarding order status and candidate performance. The role also involves building talent pipelines, supporting walk-in applicants, assisting with scheduling and dispatching workers, and collaborating with the branch team to meet service and fill-rate goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience in staffing services, including temporary placement and light industrial or clerical recruiting.
  • Demonstrated success in hiring processes, from sourcing and screening through selection and onboarding.
  • Strong communication skills, including clear verbal, written, and interpersonal communication with candidates and clients.
  • Knowledge of recruiting best practices and familiarity with applicant tracking systems or HR databases.
  • Ability to work on-site in Crest Hill, IL, with flexibility to support extended or on-call office needs as required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple open orders and deadlines.
  • Customer-service orientation and problem-solving skills when addressing client needs and candidate issues.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and adherence to employment verification and compliance procedures.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in a staffing agency environment and familiarity with I-9, E-Verify, or similar compliance tools.
  • Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field


Job Requirements

These are FIRM requirements for consideration for this position: 

• 3-5 years' experience working as a Recruiter in an Industrial Staffing Agency office 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

• Bilingual proficiency in English AND Spanish 

• Willingness and ability to work in an office environment, NOT remotely or hybrid 

• Valid Drivers' License 

• Reliable transportation to drive to and from customer sites as needed
