About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Temporary Compensation Analyst to provide critical compensation support for a three-month duration. This is an essential role within our HR team, ensuring our pay programs remain competitive and aligned with our strategic objectives.


Note: This is a hybrid role position (4 days onsite/1 day remote) at our corporate headquarters in Des Plaines, IL.



Key Responsibilities


  • Program Administration: Analyze, design, and administer compensation programs, including base pay and incentive plans.
  • Consultation: Provide guidance to management on effective pay decisions that comply with company policy and budgetary guidelines.
  • Analytics: Develop reports and use dashboard analytics to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Market Benchmarking: Participate in salary surveys to research industry trends and ensure legislative compliance.
  • Strategic Research: Conduct analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends to recommend updates to salary structures.
  • Job Architecture: Evaluate jobs and maintain accurate job descriptions and organizational architecture.
  • Process Oversight: Manage salary adjustments, promotions, and merit processes, including timelines and approvals.


Qualifications & Skills


Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years of dedicated Human Resources compensation experience.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Technical: Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze large data sets to identify issues and solutions.

  • Agility: Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimal supervision.
