• Plans, organizes, and coordinates District Attorney’s Office clerical support and performs front desk clerical functions that involve internal paper processing and workflow, general office and equipment maintenance, records control and retention, mail routing, office safety and injury reporting, work orders for building maintenance, filing of legal documents, and maintenance of office policies and procedures.• Carries out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.• Establishes clerical work priorities and develops production standards• Maintains office supplies and regularly submits requisitions• Prepares statistical reports from the legal case management system• Answers phone calls, schedules meetings, and manages incoming visitorsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:A combination of education, training, and experience resulting in the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of qualifying education and experience includes:
All levels:Graduation from high school or possession of a G.E.D. certificate at the time of employment.
Administrative Assistant II: Either A:One year of experience performing duties comparable to Administrative Assistant I. Or B:Two years of experience performing a wide variety of clerical and administrative assistant duties including word-processing/computer experience.
Administrative Assistant III: Either A:One year of experience performing duties comparable to an Administrative Assistant II. Or B:Three years of experience performing a wide variety of clerical and administrative assistant duties including word-processing/computer experience.
Licenses and Certificates:Possession of a valid Class C CALIFORNIA driver'slicense.
