Contract‑to‑Hire Commercial Litigation Legal Secretary

LHH Legal is partnering with a respected Houston law firm to identify a Commercial Litigation Legal Secretary for a contract‑to‑hire opportunity supporting a busy litigation team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned legal secretary who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys supporting multiple attorneys, and brings strong litigation experience and professional judgment to their work.
What You’ll Do
- Provide high‑level administrative support to multiple litigation attorneys with active dockets
- Prepare, revise, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, correspondence, and filings
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, court dates, depositions, and hearings
- Handle electronic filing and oversee case‑related filing projects
- Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Assist with billing, time entry, and expense reporting
- Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment at all times
What We’re Looking For
- 2–3 years of legal secretary experience (3+ years required for permanent consideration)
- Must have commercial litigation experience
- Proven experience supporting multiple attorneys simultaneously
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with document management and billing systems (iManage and Aderant a plus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High emotional intelligence, initiative, and adaptability
Details & Compensation
- Equivalent Salary Range: $70,000–$80,000 (perm)
- Hourly Rate: $33.65–$38.46/hr
- Work Environment: 100% onsite (business professional attire)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm
- Hybrid option available after 90 days for permanent employees only
- Paid garage parking
- Discretionary annual bonus eligible upon conversion to permanent
