Job Title: Temporary Clean Room Assembler
Job Description

The Temporary Clean Room Assembler positions, assembles, and seals medical device components in a controlled clean room environment, following detailed work and batch record instructions. This role prepares and verifies components, documents all production and quality activities, and maintains a safe, clean, and compliant workspace in line with GMP and ISO guidelines. The position requires self-motivation, the ability to work independently, and flexibility to support multiple production areas such as assembly, packing, and general labor.

Responsibilities

  • Position, assemble, and seal device components in accordance with work instructions, batch records, and established procedures.
  • Prepare work for assembly by studying assembly instructions, drawings, and bills of material, and by gathering required components, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Document all work-related activities accurately by completing the appropriate production and quality forms.
  • Perform and document scheduled cleaning of production areas according to procedure, including line clearance before each production run.
  • Verify that completed components meet specification requirements by measuring parts or comparing them to visual aids, as appropriate.
  • Track work orders from start to finish, ensuring accurate recording and traceability throughout the production process.
  • Perform work in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO guidelines at all times.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following all procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Use equipment and materials efficiently to conserve resources while packaging quality medical products and meeting delivery timelines.
  • Complete assigned tasks within the required timeframes and contribute to overall team productivity.
  • Handle daily lifting of up to 20 lbs and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs as needed for production activities.
  • Work flexibly in different areas, including assembly, packing, production, general labor, and cleanroom operations.
  • Stay current with job and procedural requirements by completing all required training and refresher courses.
  • Work independently when required and remain self-motivated to meet quality and productivity expectations.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions, drawings, bills of material, and batch records accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail for verifying components against specifications and visual aids.
  • Capability to complete and maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Ability to perform tasks in a clean room environment while adhering to GMP and ISO guidelines.
  • Physical ability to lift 20 lbs on a daily basis and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and remain self-motivated.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work in different production areas, including assembly, packing, production, general labor, and cleanroom.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment and following all procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to learn and apply required procedures and documents as outlined by Quality Assurance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Completion of all required training on documents, procedures, and topics as defined by Quality Assurance, with documentation maintained by Human Resources.
  • Openness to additional training requirements as needed by supervision.
  • Experience in clean room, assembly, packing, production, or general labor environments is beneficial.
  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.

Work Environment

You work in a climate-controlled facility within a clean room and production environment designed for comfort and consistency. The space is currently small but expanding, offering a sense of growth and development. An additional quality room operates with air conditioning set at approximately 68 degrees to maintain optimal conditions for medical product assembly and inspection. The environment follows strict GMP and ISO guidelines, emphasizing cleanliness, organization, and adherence to documented procedures. You may rotate between areas such as assembly, packing, production, general labor, and cleanroom operations, using standard production tools and equipment suited for medical device manufacturing. The facility supports structured shifts with flexibility in work hours and arrangements, and the dress code aligns with clean room and safety requirements to ensure product quality and personal protection.

This is a Contract position based out of Huntersville, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
