The essential function of the position within the organization is to design, maintain, trouble-shoot and provide technical assistance to networked audio/visual equipment.
The AV Specialist is directly responsible for all audio-visual support and service throughout the organization. The AV specialist oversees the processes of maintaining, troubleshooting, patching, and improving AV systems and making hardware or software recommendations for future upgrades.
The Technology Coordinator (Audio Visual Specialist) will report to the Court Technology Officer within the Judicial Division, 18th Judicial Circuit Division. The position is located at the Criminal Justice Center, Court Administration, 18th Judicial Circuit Court.
Compensation:

- Troubleshoot and maintain AV hardware/software, installations, and courtroom equipment/technology and lighting equipment.
- Connecting, tuning, and configuring AV setups to ensure high-quality broadcasting and recording
- Operating remote software to control and monitor AV technologies
- Monitoring live feeds to ensure quality
- Provide customer service and support to staff
- Work with internal IT team for incident management, investigation, and resolution
- Manage multiple AV vendors during the design, purchase, and installation of new equipment
- Program, change, troubleshoot, and diagnose complex system problems with AV equipment: QSC/Logitech/Extron/Crestron/WolfVision
- Set up equipment for meetings, and presentations
- Monitor the remote monitoring and management system alerts and notifications, and respond accordingly
- Keep inventory of all equipment, software, and licensing
- Provide desktop support for courtroom and administrative computers, including hardware troubleshooting, software installation, updates, and peripheral connectivity issues.
- Assist with user account management, basic network connectivity troubleshooting, and resolving end-user technology issues in courtrooms and office spaces as needed.
High School Diploma or GED, and three (3) years of audio visual experience.
A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Technical understanding of AV and IT systems including Donte, Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, CTS.
- In depth knowledge of AV technologies and their features.
- Expertise in video conferencing and broadcast systems.
- Extensive knowledge of the architectural, cabling, and control system requirements of AV technologies.
- Conference Room Control Systems Experience (Crestron/Extron)
- DSP Experience with Biamp / QSC
- Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment including but not limited to: Audio Systems, Projectors and Screen setup, Cameras, switchers, and lighting systems
- AV Installation of projectors, monitors, speakers
- Crestron / AMX / QSC / Extron control systems
- Able to read AV signal flows/drawings
- Analytical and risk assessment abilities.
- Project management and deadline fulfillment skills.
- Basic knowledge of video conferencing systems, networking, AV switching, video signage, and Desktop applications related to video services
- Basic knowledge of IP networks
- Basic knowledge of audio Digital Signal Processor (DSP) device.
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
- AV systems integration including audio and video, and web-based video conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
- Work independently and with little direct supervision.
