We are seeking a self-starter Technician for our
Littleton, CO location to perform hands-on test setup, instrumentation, operation of thermal vacuum chamber equipment and tear-down for thermal vacuum testing of flight hardware on site. Some activities involve working at heights while wearing fall protection equipment. Tests range from small components to critical system level spacecraft. Operate thermal vacuum chambers and record data per direction of Shift Lead and prepared documentation. Perform maintenance of test and facility equipment. Lab operates on 24/7/365 schedule. Weekend, holiday and extended work hours are often required.
Summary of Key Duties: In this role you will…•Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas
•Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems
•Work from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions
•Operate unique high value equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format
•Work in a test environment directly supporting national defense and space exploration projects
Basic Qualifications:• Experience performing hands-on mechanical assembly and basic electrical assembly.
• Basic knowledge of test equipment (DMM, O-scope, etc).
• Proficient in high vacuum chamber systems, components, flanges, and fittings.
• Proficient in helium mass spectrometer leak detection methods and techniques.
• Prior experience with cryogenics.
• Prior experience of overhead crane operations.
• Ability to follow written procedures and drawings.
• Must be able and willing to work shift and weekend work as needed.
• Must be US citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret government security clearance
Desired Skills:• Current Secret clearance
• Three years or more experience setting up, operating, and tearing down thermal vacuum tests
• Experienced in maintaining data and activity logs
• Prior data acquisition system experience
• Strong math and computer skills
• Prior experience with evaluating and modifying PID control loops
• Prior experience with handling pressurized gases

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $62,200 - $109,710. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
