Preferred Qualifications:
• 4+ years of technical writing experience
• Experience creating SOPs, standards, user guides, manuals, and technical documentation
• Experience with topic-based writing methodologies (e.g., Information Mapping)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Writing Style Guide
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience creating diagrams, flowcharts, and visual documentation
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of professional technical writing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and grammar skills
• Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation
• Experience working with stakeholders and subject matter experts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Tasks:
At a minimum, the Consultant(s) shall perform the following tasks:
• Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and project teams to identify documentation requirements
• Analyze project and user requirements to determine documentation scope and format
• Research, write, edit, and maintain technical documentation (SOPs, manuals, user guides, etc.)
• Translate complex technical information into clear and concise content
• Create diagrams, flowcharts, and visual aids to support documentation
• Ensure documentation accuracy, consistency, and alignment with standards
• Edit and review documentation created by others
• Maintain and update documentation based on system and process changes
• Recommend improvements to documentation processes and tools
• Provide guidance on documentation standards and best practices
Deliverables:
• High-quality technical documentation (SOPs, manuals, guides, etc.)
• Updated and maintained documentation aligned with system changes
• Visual documentation including flowcharts and diagrams
• Documentation standards, templates, and best practices
• Timely completion of assigned documentation tasks
