Technical Project Manager
Location: Owasso, Oklahoma
Department: Product Development / Engineering
Reports To: Director of Engineering / PMO Lead
Position Overview
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to support the planning and execution of technical and product development projects in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. This role is ideal for early‑career professionals or individuals transitioning from engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, or supply chain roles into project management.
The Junior Technical Project Manager will work closely with senior Technical Program Managers, engineers, and cross‑functional teams to track schedules, coordinate activities, manage action items, and help ensure projects stay on course. This role offers a strong growth path toward Technical Program Manager responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution Support
- Support planning, tracking, and execution of multiple technical projects
- Maintain project schedules, task lists, milestones, and action items
- Track progress and follow up with team members to ensure commitments are met
- Help identify risks, issues, and dependencies and escalate them appropriately
Cross‑Functional Coordination
- Coordinate activities across engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations
- Facilitate project meetings, take clear notes, document decisions, and track outcomes
- Ensure stakeholders are aligned on scope, priorities, and upcoming milestones
Communication & Reporting
- Prepare clear project status updates for program leads and management
- Maintain project documentation, dashboards, and shared workspaces
- Communicate changes, blockers, and risks in a clear and timely manner
Process & Learning
- Learn and apply project management best practices, tools, and processes
- Support continuous improvement of project tracking, reporting, and execution methods
- Gain exposure to product development lifecycles, technical decision‑making, and regulated environments
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, Project Management, or a related field
- (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
- 0–3 years of experience in:
- Project coordination
- Engineering, manufacturing, quality, operations, or supply chain roles
- Internship or co‑op experience in a technical or operational environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑moving environment
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn technical concepts and work across disciplines
Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Experience (Not Required)
- Exposure to technical or product development projects
- Familiarity with regulated or compliance‑driven industries (aerospace, manufacturing, medical, automotive, etc.)
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings, test plans, or production processes
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Monday.com, or similar)
