About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to be responsible for establishing and driving timelines and resources to develop, manufacture, and get products to market quickly and efficiently. This critical role will manage timelines, resources, and cross-functional teams to ensure our small appliance products move from concept to market efficiently and successfully.


The ideal candidate will bring manufacturing industry expertise, PMP certification, and a proven track record of delivering product development projects on time and within budget. The best candidates have built or improved the product development processes and are comfortable with technical data and communications.


Location: Hybrid (Phoenix, AZ or San Diego preferred) or Remote within the U.S.

Schedule Requirement: Must be able to overlap with morning hours in China

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Compensation: $50–$80 per hour

Reports To: Engineering Lead


Key Responsibilities


  • Establish and maintain project timelines with clear milestones and deliverables
  • Track project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership and stakeholders
  • Channel global information to local teams, act as conduit to support the business
  • Proactively identify potential delays or bottlenecks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Balance multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality work
  • Conduct regular project status meetings; including creating agendas, running meetings, and capturing notes and action items.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing partners to ensure smooth transition from prototype to production
  • Coordinate with internal Marketing and Marketplace teams to ensure alignment for product launch timelines
  • Support the development and maintenance of internal project related templates and processes
  • Ability to review and update technical documentation related to complex product launches with support from Engineering if needed (SOP/WI, FMEA, Technical Product Specifications)
  • Work with Engineering Lead to coordinate testing and samples for regulatory, compliance and claims testing
  • Manage tooling and certification timelines
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners


Required Qualifications


  • 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing consumer goods
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex timelines and delivering projects on schedule
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain, and production workflows
  • Experience with injection molding and tooling timelines
  • Experience with consumer products or electromechanical products strongly preferred
  • Expert proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Asana, Monday.com, or similar)
  • Knowledge of product development Stage-Gate methodology
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through on commitments
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, dynamic environments; entrepreneurial spirit
  • Must be fluent in English


Preferred Qualifications


  • Engineering or other technical background (Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, Project Engineering, etc.)
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  • Background in air quality products, home appliances, or similar industries a plus
  • Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems preferred
  • Experience developing or implementing process/work standards for area of expertise
  • Experience in a start-up environment
  • Chinese fluency is a plus
