We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager based in the United States to join our dynamic Global Technology & Security team on a full-time 6-month contract with the potential for extension.

The Project Manager position within Global Technology & Security (GTS) is a role that will be responsible for leading and executing transformational technology projects and programs at Gen. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, independent but also a team player. This role will focus on ensuring successful delivery of large technology projects and fostering collaboration across various teams within the organization and offers a flexible mix of remote and in-office work.

Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Lead the planning and execution of information technology projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define program scope, objectives, and success criteria.
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of technology projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Work closely with project teams to identify and mitigate risks and resolve issues that may impact project delivery.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely and accurate project reporting to leadership.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and ability to understand when and to whom to escalate.

Communication and Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as a liaison between technical and business teams, ensuring effective communication and understanding of business requirements.
  • Be a trusted advisor to internal and external business partners/stakeholders.
  • Collaborate peers, security, and business leadership to align programs, projects, and operations with business objectives and strategies.

Quality Assurance:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance processes for projects, ensuring that deliverables meet established standards and requirements.
  • Conduct regular project reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify and align technical, business or process risks and mitigation strategies with options and trade-offs.

Qualifications:

  • Possess over 3 years of experience working as a project or program manager delivering large-scale projects in information technology and/or information security.
  • Strong knowledge of program and project management methodologies and best practices (e.g. Prince 2 or PMBOK).
  • Preferably project management certifications such as PMP, PgMP, Prince2 or CPMP.
  • Prior experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system projects (e.g. Oracle ERP) and knowledge of finance processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and security/compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
