Role Description
As a Technical Designer, you will collaborate closely with product development to translate each design vision into reality. You will oversee the fit process, ensure accurate technical packages (TPs), and drive consistency in garment quality. You will be responsible for fabric and fit knowledge, grading, and garment construction while managing technical aspects of the product development process. You will join a team of passionate and energetic individuals working towards styling women in on-trend and fabulous styles. The ideal candidate will be an extremely organized self-starter with a love for fashion looking to grow and excel in their career with prior experience in women's apparel.
This position is full-time, in person at our Aventura, FL office.
What You Will Do:
- Drive the technical development of products, focusing on fit, material selection, specifications, and garment construction.
- Manage and conduct fit sessions, providing feedback on necessary adjustments to achieve optimal fit and consistency.
- Collaborate with Product Development and Design teams to ensure designs align with quality and production goals.
- Create and maintain detailed Technical Packages (TPs), including technical drawings, measurement charts, and construction details.
- Ensure products meet manufacturing and construction standards while maintaining consistency in fit across all categories.
- Lead fabric tests and evaluations, ensuring garment durability and performance.
- Work with grading to release accurate production spec sheets to factories.
- Track product samples through development, pre-production, and production stages, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Maintain fit records, update specification changes, and communicate all adjustments to cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Support seasonal development calendar to ensure alignment with key milestone dates.
What You Will Bring:
- Minimum 2+ years previous experience in technical design
- AA or BA degree is welcome but not required in lieu of experience
- Solid understanding of garment construction, balance/fit, and patterns.
- Excellent eye for fit, construction, and detail.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
- Ability to create technical drawings and renderings in Adobe Illustrator.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and work well in a team atmosphere.
- Ability to work in-person, full-time at our Aventura, FL office.

The base salary for this position will range from $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
