About the Company



We are partnering with a high-growth, multi-entity organization seeking an Accounting Manager to join its corporate finance team. This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the Controller with frequent exposure to senior leadership, including the CFO and investment partners.



About the Role



This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys technical accounting challenges, and wants direct involvement in M&A activity and process development.



Responsibilities



  • Lead and support technical accounting areas including revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), business combinations (ASC 805), and other complex accounting topics
  • Play a key role in M&A transactions, including deal support, purchase accounting, and post-close integration
  • Own and support portions of the month-end close process within a 10-business-day close cycle
  • Manage and maintain key balance sheet areas including revenue, intercompany, debt, and consolidations
  • Partner with external auditors and support audit requests and technical documentation
  • Help build, refine, and scale accounting policies, processes, and controls
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and external stakeholders


Qualifications



  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2–3+ years in public accounting (audit or tax required)


Required Skills



  • Strong technical accounting foundation with ASC 606 as a top priority
  • Hands-on experience with M&A (purchase accounting, deal support, or transaction advisory exposure strongly preferred)
  • Experience with multi-entity or consolidated accounting environments
  • Strong systems exposure; Workday experience is a plus (recent implementation experience is ideal)
  • CPA preferred but not required

Pay range and compensation package



  • Location: Chicago (Loop – hybrid 2 days/week)
  • Compensation: Up to $130K base + ~10% bonus
  • Schedule: Hybrid
