Switch Truck Team Member

*Job Description :

Switch Truck Driver - Responsible for trailer movement between doors and within the yard while abiding by all safety regulations set by the facility. This role includes primary communication with Mission Control/Planning Coach to coordinate and prioritize necessary trailer moves throughout the shift. Team members additional duties will vary based on daily volume including assisting in yard maintenance and supporting transportation and receiving functions.

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated adherence to safety requirements
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Basic math and reading comprehension
• Experience in yard truck operations
• Approaches change optimistically; adjusts quickly and proficiently to changing work environments
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex problems; creative problem-solving
• Successfully manages multiple tasks simultaneously while still being detail-oriented
• Copes positively in high-stress work environment

• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Strong communication and people skills
• Effectively prioritizes work and possesses time management skills
• Highly motivated to Operation’s success; goal-oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education preferred
• Familiarity with distribution center operations
