Job Description:
ROLE SUMMARY
Required tooperatesafely, filling and packaging equipment according to procedures given by theManufacturing Manager.Lead Operators A, b, and C, assigning jobs in the linetooperatesafely, with the qualityrequired, and the performance needed.Training and coaching the A, B, and C operators.The shift is 3 PM – 11 PM , Monday - Friday.
JOB DUTIES
Assures a safe and orderly work environment. Promotes and follows all Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Report any safety and/or environmental incidentimmediatelyto theManufacturing Manager.
Performs manually and/or tends machines which perform various packaging functions such as filling, labeling, packing, or closing containers.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
Responsible for machine adjustments, set-ups, changeovers, maintenance, cleaning, and general operation of various filling and packaging machines.
Ability toidentifyproblems, troubleshoot, and train on the cardboard baler, plastic baler,filler, packaging robot,palletizer, RFID labeler, labeler, box erector,pallet jack, pick and place card/blister adjustments, taper/tape gun, andadditionalproduction equipment.
Validates and organizes jobsin accordance withthe bill of materials and special work instructions based on current and future job orders.
Responsible for conducting quality inspection of goods at the correct intervals, ensuring that the product is packaged according to the work order, with the expectation toidentifyandcorrectingany quality issues.
Operates as material handler ifrequired.Able tooperatethe mixing areaifrequired.
Assistsin training assigned full-time/temp operators andassistsother teams as needed.
Forklift experiencerequired.
Ability to communicate effectively and lead others.
Coordinates and performs routine preventative maintenance of equipment.
Responsible foraccurateandtimelyreporting of production, labor, and scrap incurred during the shiftAssist with MH, B, and C operator roles when needed.
Other Job duties as assigned.
MACHINE A OPERATOR
ROLE SUMMARY
Operate safely, filling and packaging equipment according to procedures given by the Team Lead. The ability to lead the line andassistin training when the Team Lead is not available.The shift is 73 PM – 11 PM.

QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma/GEDrequired.
3-5 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment in a lead role; preferably automotive or bottling and packaging.
Must be able to speak, understand, read, and write English.
Must have the ability to perform simple math calculations.
Must be computer literate.
Must be certified to drive all types of forklifts.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis constantly required tostand; walk; climb; balance on moving vehicles in standing and sitting positions,operatemechanical moving equipment; and to hear. The employee is constantly exposed to vibration whileoperatingmechanical equipment.The employee isfrequentlyrequired tobend;stoop;stand;handle;finger;feel;reach forward with arms; and talk.The employeeis occasionally required tosit; crouch; kneel; squat; and twist.The employeeis rarely required tocrawl.The employee must occasionally lift, push/pull, and or move up to 65 pounds.The employee mustpossessthe mandatory ability to react and move quickly in case of emergency.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depthperceptionand ability to adjust focus/accommodate.
RISKS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to the possibility of injury to the hands or feet andcollisionwith moving equipment.The possibility of fire exists. On rareoccasion, the employee has the possibility of exposure (once a day) to electrical shock and battery explosion. The employee may also rarelycome into contact withtoxic / caustic chemicals from damagedproduct.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee isfrequentlyexposed to moving mechanical parts and machinery.A strong citrus odor is present constantly in the work environment.The noise level in the work environment is moderate.Work is performed inside with moderate amounts of heat,coldand humidity encountered.Inside work can be dirty, with adequate lighting and ventilation.Conditions can include the presence of hazards such as flammable liquids, movingmachineryand working around and with others.

Compensation Information:
Hourly Rate between $23-$30, depending on experience
