About This Role:
The Prince William County Tax Administration Office is seeking highly motivated customer service representatives to fill a Taxpayer Services Specialist positions in our fast-paced call center. We are looking for positive, team-oriented individuals who can provide professional support to a diverse customer base, including residents and business owners. As a key member of our team, you will assist taxpayers by phone and email, helping to update, open, and close various tax accounts. You will also process tax-related documents and provide accurate information on personal property, real estate, business licenses, and other tax matters. This role is primarily remote but may require in-office work as needed.
What You Will Do:
Minimum Requirement, Skills, and Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D
Preferences:
- 2 or more years of experience in Data processing
- Working experience in a call center
- Working experience in the public sector
- Handling confidential information
- Answering tax-related questions based on state and local laws, regulations, codes, and ordinances
- Answering collection-related questions based on state and local laws, regulations, codes, and ordinances
- Answering business-related questions based on state and local laws, regulations, codes, and ordinances
- Bilingual English / Spanish
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, there are two shifts: 8:00 to 4:30 and 8:30 to 5:00, to be decided by your supervisor. During busy periods, you may need to work beyond your scheduled time. (Primarily teleworking)
Special Requirements:
The selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment background check.
Hiring Salary Range: $24.62-$31.38 hourly
