Tax Supervisor / Working Tax Manager (Preparation + Review)

Boyer Robinson
North Palm Beach, FL

Our Firm:

Boyer Robinson is a boutique CPA firm in Palm Beach County established in October 2024. Since opening, the firm has grown its client base to over 150 clients and is responsible for nearly 400 tax filings. In addition to tax compliance, Boyer Robinson provides bookkeeping, payroll, and business consulting services. We are seeking a hands-on tax professional to serve in a dual preparation and review role.

Why Join Us?:

This is an opportunity for a strong tax professional to step into a meaningful role within a growing boutique practice where your judgment, efficiency, and technical skill will matter.

Unlike larger firms, this role offers autonomy, direct access to decision-making, less bureaucracy, and the ability to help shape workflow and systems rather than simply operate within them.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys both technical tax work and improving how a practice runs, and who wants to have a real hand in building something.

The Role:

This is a working manager position, not a purely administrative or partner-track oversight role. The right candidate will prepare returns, review returns prepared by staff, provide review comments, manage workflow, and help drive timely completion of tax engagements.

Responsibilities include preparation and review of individual, partnership, and S corporation returns, managing return workflow and deadlines, reviewing staff workpapers and providing feedback, identifying tax issues and resolving diagnostics, and supporting process improvement within a growing practice.

Ideal candidates will have strong public accounting experience, experience preparing and reviewing complex returns, and preferably experience with CCH Axcess.

This role is ideal for someone who wants autonomy, meaningful responsibility, direct access to firm leadership, and the opportunity to help build systems inside a growing practice.

Qualifications:

  • CPA preferred but not required
  • 7+ years public accounting tax experience preferred
  • Strong technical preparation and review skills
  • Experience with passthroughs, high-net-worth individuals, and small business taxation
  • Strong workflow management and communication skills

Compensation:

$110,000 to $140,000 + Profit Sharing Opportunities + Ownership Vesting

Location:

This is an in-office position. Hybrid arrangements will be considered.
