The Tax Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage the day-to-day tax related matters of the US office and to provide tax support to the management team and other international offices as needed.

  • Advise management of tax implications and tax compliance affecting the Company’s businesses.
  • Lead, guide, and mentor tax team encouraging growth and learning.
  • Review monthly/quarterly motor fuel compliance filings for approximately 20 States, ensuring on time submission and payments.
  • Prepare annual registrations, deposits, and related filings.
  • Prepare annual property tax renditions and filings.
  • Liaise and manage outside consultants on direct tax filings, reviewing and ensuring submissions are accurate and timely.
  • Ensure necessary filings for any tax sales/use tax registrations and exemptions in states and jurisdictions as needed including collaboration with legal and outside parties as appropriate.
  • Support the quarterly provision process through preparation of tax workpapers and forecasts.
  • Advise management on tax related implications for international activities.
  • Provide internal tax advisory services including timely responses to departments to ensure tax efficiency and responsiveness to tax matters.
  • Manage and lead tax audits
  • Handle and research complex tax issues affecting domestic and international business operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or Business Administration.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 5-10+ years of tax experience, preferably with international organizations operating in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Solid knowledge of Motor Fuel Tax, Sales & Use Tax, Commodity Tax issues.
  • Must have excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work independently and without supervision, ensuring deadlines are strictly adhered to in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong tax research and tax analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams).
  • Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
