Role Overview

• We are looking for a highly disciplined Systems Test Engineer to join our team in Ankeny, IA. This role is critical for the end-to-end validation of retail and fuel environments. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of Point of Sale (POS) systems, fuel pump transactions, and back-end data integrity.
• The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, team-oriented mindset and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in complex, lab-based testing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• POS & Fuel Validation: Execute end-to-end retail workflow validation, including sales, returns, exchanges, promotions, and diverse tender types (Credit/Debit, Fleet, and Gift Cards).
• Integration Testing: Validate POS integrations with Order Management Systems (OMS), loyalty platforms, pricing engines, and payment processing systems.
• Fuel Systems Expertise: Lead lab-based testing for Payment PINPAD integration with Fuel Pumps, specifically for gas station environments.
• Data Integrity: Utilize SQL to validate backend data, ensuring accurate results and consistent data mapping.
• Defect Management: Manage the full testing lifecycle—from test scenario design to defect tracking—using JIRA and Confluence within an SDLC framework.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on POS testing experience, specifically within the NCR (Aloha, Menulink) or GK POS ecosystem.
• Domain Knowledge: Minimum 3 years of experience in Fuel Systems and gas station end-to-end lab testing.

• EggPlant (Automation/Test Tooling)

• NCR Suite (Aloha, Menulink)
• Soft Skills: Self-driven with a focus on professional standards and delivering high-quality work that meets rigorous client expectations.
