The Wells Fargo Enterprise Case Management and Workflow Technology group is a PegaSystems-based technology team, with successful Pega-based solutions implemented throughout the enterprise, covering multiple lines of business.  The growth in business need for automated case management solutions has continued to rise, as our partners look for robust/reliable solutions that can be quickly delivered.  Thus, our team is engaged with consulting, prototyping, design, development and support of BPM solutions that reach across multiple business divisions and disciplines.

This Systems Operations Sr Engineer position will have the responsibility for driving these solutions through the design, configuration, deployment and support phases of the individual projects.  This role will be accountable for leading our delivery efforts related to system administration, application and platform support and overall best practices.  You will be expected to function as the subject matter expert for a large Pega Platform. 

Duties are varied and may include one or more of the following: actively participates in the development of technical support strategies and plans; acts as an internal consultant regarding use of tools and process re-engineering to improve delivery, support and governance process execution; provides complex technical expertise for technical issues and initiatives related to large-scale applications, systems, databases and/or other technical products and services; oversees the creation of diagnostic, simulation and other tools to maintain, enhance and/or restore service or data to systems; leads support projects and migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations and/or configurations; identifies and drives resolution of complex network, hardware and software issues; develops and negotiates workarounds; initiates longer-term design solutions or projects; assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas; oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan; provides direction or guidance to less experienced staff.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of systems support analysis experience demonstrated through work or military experience
  • 4+ years of experience working in managed services as demonstrated through work, military, or education
  • 7+ years of technology experience across multiple domains within infrastructure architecture

  • Experience supporting an enterprise-level environment
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including management
  • Strong team or technical leadership experience
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 2+ years of experience leading medium and large-scale program architecture solutions
  • Ability to grasp complex business issues quickly, recommend solutions, and drive for resolutions
  • 2 + years of experience delivering and supporting large, highly available enterprise-level applications
  • Knowledge and understanding of test driven application development
  • UNIX experience
  • WebSphere experience
  • Oracle experience
  • Git or GitHub experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of uDeploy


Other Desired Qualifications
  • Thorough understanding of the architecture/environment needs of Pega Systems-based applications
  • Experience successfully collaborating with Pega developers and business partners on support needs and/or best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to support the production needs of a Pega-based application
  • Pega Systems application experience in the financial services industry
  • Pega Cloud expansion, management experience 
  • Experience with various Pega Systems-based tools/utilities (e.g. DCO, PMF, AES, Cloud) 
  • Pega certification CSSA 7.4/8(Certified Senior Systems Architect) required . CLSA 7.4 certification is preferred 
  • Production support experience with large-scale, high-volume applications
  • Experience with of Pega installs, upgrades, and configurations 
  • Experience with platform support needs in the Wells Fargo technology environment 
  • JIRA tool that supports tracking and reporting for user stories.
  • Understanding of DAST compliance test processes and vulnerability remediation. 
  • Wells Fargo environment setup process to include the automated and build and deploy process. 
  • Ability to positively influence, motivate, and help direct diverse teams in a shift based, decentralized, and geographically dispersed environment
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and transform those requirements into business 


Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
