SKILLS REQUIRED:
Primary (Must-Have):
5 to 10+ years of experience in enterprise Systems Engineering or Application Production Support, ideally within a major banking environment
Advanced production-support SQL and relational database engineering proficiency (specifically Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL) to analyze complex upstream/downstream data pipelines
Strong hands-on command of Linux/Unix environments, command-line operations, and shell scripting for workflow automation
Extensive experience managing enterprise batch processing, job scheduling, and workload automation frameworks utilizing Autosys
Deep proficiency with modern Observability and Monitoring suites (AppDynamics, Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, or ITRS) for rapid incident response and system pattern analysis
Secondary (Good to Have):
Practical exposure to AIOps platforms, AI-driven anomaly detection, or using generative AI/LLM tools to streamline runtime diagnostics and reduce monitoring noise
Familiarity with supporting microservices and containerized workloads running on Red Hat OpenShift or Enterprise Data Private Cloud environments
Active Industry Standard Technology Certification (e.g., Linux, Cloud, or ITIL certifications)
Foundational understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices, Agile release management, and financial accounting tool workflows
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a senior Systems Operations Engineer with a strong background in production support to maintain, optimize, and stabilize critical enterprise Finance Applications onsite/hybrid in the Dallas Metro, TX area. In this high-impact position, you will own the runtime stability of complex financial architectures and data pipelines. Acting as a core tier-3 support anchor, you will diagnose escalated application incidents, fine-tune telemetry frameworks, oversee batch processing operations, and leverage cutting-edge AIOps monitoring to prevent down-time across core banking data streams.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the triage and structural resolution of high-severity, complex production incidents impacting core financial applications and multi-tier data workflows.
Construct advanced SQL diagnostic scripts and run forensic database analysis to rectify missing data payloads, schema delays, and pipeline processing issues.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and orchestrate automated enterprise batch jobs via Autosys, ensuring strict SLA alignment for end-of-day market reconciliations.
Maintain, write, and execute shell scripts to automate recurring infrastructure health checks, system reboots, and log-rotation routines across Linux hosts.
Configure custom metric dashboards, proactive system alerts, and synthetic transactions across Splunk, AppDynamics, and Grafana to optimize site reliability.
Coordinate with core DevOps and Infrastructure groups to troubleshoot, isolate, and debug runtime container variances within Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
Integrate AI-enhanced observability parameters, noise-reduction rules, and predictive analytics data into long-term infrastructure capacity and system planning cycles.
Consult directly with application engineering squads on change designs, ensuring software patches respect corporate risk frameworks and architectural mandates.
